Who We Are
Truvera is a product of ThinkNova Intelligent Solutions Ltd., a company incorporated in the Federal Republic of Nigeria with CAC registration number 8585897. Truvera provides trust infrastructure for safer commerce in Nigeria.
For privacy and data-rights enquiries, contact privacy@truvera.ng. Support may assist with intake and routing, while Truvera's internal Compliance/Risk function is accountable for privacy and data-rights handling.
Scope
This Privacy Policy describes how Truvera handles personal information when people use the public website, TrustID and invitation verification tools, the Truvera application, transaction flows, support channels, and related services.
This policy applies to current public website and platform interactions, and may be updated as Truvera services, legal requirements, or operating practices change.
Information We Collect
We may collect account, identity, contact, authentication, transaction, invoice, order, payment, settlement, delivery, fulfilment, dispute, evidence, communications, notification, policy acceptance, device, security, and audit information.
The exact information collected depends on the role, transaction type, verification level, support request, and service used.
Account, Identity, And Contact Information
Account and identity information may include names, business names, role information, verification status, identity or eligibility information, email addresses, phone numbers, account credentials, and related records.
Contact information may be used for onboarding, authentication, support, privacy requests, transaction notices, invitations, and security communications.
Authentication, Security, And Audit Events
We may process OTP, login, session, device, risk, security, support, administrative, and audit records to protect users, detect misuse, verify activity, and maintain platform integrity.
We do not ask users to send passwords, OTPs, payment card details, or sensitive identity documents by ordinary email unless Truvera specifically requests information through an approved support process.
Transaction And Payment Metadata
Transaction information may include buyer, seller, service-provider, delivery-partner, agent, product, service, invoice, order, fee, confirmation, cancellation, refund, release, settlement, and dispute-related information.
Truvera is not a bank and does not operate a general user wallet. Payment collection, safeguarded movement of transaction funds, and settlement may rely on appropriately regulated financial or payment partners.
Delivery, Fulfilment, Disputes, And Evidence
Where a transaction uses delivery, fulfilment, service completion, inspection, confirmation, or dispute flows, we may process related records, handoff information, evidence, incident reports, communications, and platform decisions.
Dispute and evidence information is used to review transaction records, assess fulfilment or delivery evidence, apply platform rules, and determine how protected transaction funds should be handled within Truvera.
TrustID And Public Verification Information
Some TrustID, invitation, profile, badge, or verification information may be made available through public verification tools so that people can check whether a presented Truvera identity or invitation appears authentic.
Public verification surfaces are limited to the information needed for the relevant trust check and should not be treated as a full identity report or background check.
How We Use Information
We use information to provide and improve services, create and manage accounts, verify users and roles, support transactions, process payments through partners, facilitate delivery or fulfilment, resolve disputes, communicate with users, maintain security, prevent fraud, comply with legal obligations, and enforce platform rules.
We may also use information to generate records of policy acceptance, consent, notices, support handling, and transaction administration.
Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including account administration, transaction records, dispute evidence, fraud prevention, security, auditability, compliance, legal obligations, and legitimate operational needs.
Retention periods may vary by data type, transaction status, legal obligation, dispute status, risk requirement, and operational need.
Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures intended to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.
No website, application, communication channel, or storage system can be completely free from security risk.
Choices And Rights
Users may have rights under applicable Nigerian law and other applicable rules, which may include access, correction, deletion, objection, restriction, complaint, or redress rights where legally applicable.
Some requests may be limited by required record retention, fraud prevention, transaction administration, dispute evidence, security, legal, compliance, or payment-partner obligations.
Children And Eligibility
Truvera is intended for users who are at least 18 years old under the current launch policy. People under 18 should not create an account or use Truvera transaction services.
International And Vendor Processing
Some service providers or infrastructure vendors may process information outside the user location where necessary to provide secure, reliable, or compliant services.
Where required, Truvera will assess vendor and data-processing implications as part of its privacy and compliance governance.
Changes And Contact
We may update this policy as Truvera, applicable law, technology, or operational practices change. Updated versions should indicate the applicable version or effective date when approved for publication.
Questions or privacy/data-rights requests should be sent to privacy@truvera.ng.
